Stefan Rauh

Dr Rauh studied Medicine in Germany then Switzerland, followed by post-graduate training in Germany, France and Luxembourg. In 1999, he established an oncologic unit with outpatient facility and an integrated palliative care ward at Differdange Regional Hospital, later on merging with Esch Hospital.

While his work is mainly clinical, Dr Rauh is also involved in teaching and research, participating in several international phase 2,3 and 4 studies.

Dr Rauh is an active member of ESMO where he acted as chair of the Practising Oncologists’ Committee 2015-2019, chair of the ESMO Quality Task Force 2015-2017 and member of the ESMO Educational Steering Committee since 2017. He served as executive board member in 2015-2016, and as ESMO National Representative for Luxembourg for eight years. He is also an extended member of the ESMO Public Policy Working Group.

At national level Dr Rauh is the President of the Luxembourg Society of Oncology, an active member of several organizations including the Luxembourg Association of Palliative Care and the National Tumor Registry board. He is also a consultant to the National Cancer Plan and teaches at the General Medicine Faculty of the University of Luxembourg.
