Elena Sandalova

Elena got her MSc degree in Microbiology from Siberian State University in Russia. After her MSc she went to Stockholm, Sweden, and started her PhD in Karolinska Institute, Micro and Tumor biology Centre, working in infectious diseases and immunology. In the last year of her PhD she has moved to Division of John’s Hopkins in Singapore. She stayed in Singapore for a Post-Doctoral position in Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences, A-Star, continuing her research in the field of infectious diseases, immunology and immunotherapy. After 6 years of Post-Doc she has joined Danone Nutricia Research Early Life Nutrition as a senior scientist in immunology, focusing on allergy. As part of this role, she has co-supervised PhD student who recently graduated on topic “Biomarkers of Atopic Dermatitis”. She has been a Principal Investigator for several projects on Biomarkers which were completed and published.
