Alessandro Laviano

Prof. Laviano currently works at department of clinical medicine Sapienza University, in Rome, Italy.

He is a member of many associations and societies, such as, a member of ESPEN, AAAS (AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE), a member New York Academy of sciences and a member of South African of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Member, Editorial Advisory Board of Nutrition, Abstract reviewer of the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) and many others.

Prof. Laviano has over 140 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has authored more than 50 book chapters and more than 200 abstracts presented at National & International congresses.

Prof. Laviano has delivered more than 200 invited lectures in both National and International events.

He is also one of the authors of the most recent 2016 ESPEN guidelines on Nutrition in Cancer patients, as well as the 2017 ESPEN expert group recommendations for action against cancer related malnutrition.
